Enamel Container
Enamel container
Japanese: ホーロー容器(ほーろーようき)
Fermentation container resistant to acid and alkali. Easy to keep clean with good appearance.
Enamel containers have glass-like glaze fired onto metal, resistant to acid and alkali, with low odor absorption. An excellent material for miso making.
Smooth surfaces are easy to wash and sanitize, maintaining hygiene. Heavier than plastic but highly durable for long-term use. Aesthetically pleasing in white or blue. Choosing one with a lid makes it easy to combine with drop lid and weight. Avoid metal scrubbers as scratches can lead to rust. With careful handling, enamel containers last for decades.
