Blender
Japanese: ミキサー
Household appliance for mashing soybeans. Blends with liquid.
A blender (mixer) rapidly spins blades to process food. Adding steamed soybeans with a small amount of cooking liquid quickly produces a paste.
Unlike food processors, blenders require liquid. Adding seed water or cooking liquid improves efficiency. However, too much liquid disrupts moisture design, so calculate additions. Easy to use but limited in batch capacity. An immersion blender can mash soybeans directly in the pot. Fewer dishes is another advantage. Choose tools based on your batch size and working style.
